One of the few pre-World War II apartment towers to rise a bit above the 15-story height of most of the avenue's apartment buildings, this 18-story apartment building was designed by celebrated luxury residential architect Rosario Candela, for developer Charles Newmark. Completed in 1931, the co-op residence contains only one spacious apartment many with stunning park views and some with terraces on each of its 18 floors. The prewar building's prime Park Avenue location makes it a neighbor to the boutiques along Madison Avenue and art galleries and restaurants nearby as well as the Frick Collection a block and a half to the west and all that the Upper East Side has to offer.
