Boerum Hill Premier Co-op, The Ex Lax Building was the factory, built circa 1920 combined with the eastern adjacent buildings which were formerly a bottling plant. The structure was converted in 1981 into 57 cooperative residential units (later the conversion of the loading dock brought the total to 58), and two ground floor retail tenants. The building embraces its past with Ex-Lax advertising memorabilia on display in the vestibule and nods to its industrial past throughout the common areas. There is a secured parking lot with 19 spaces to the west of the main building. The LOFTs are known for their high ceilings and many, large windows. Located in the Boerum Hill neighborhood, there is close subway access at the Atlantic Terminal and also Hoyt-Schermerhorn in downtown Brooklyn. Very well-situated to cultural venues such as BAM and galleries all around Atlantic Avenue.
